Please read these terms and conditions carefully before you
apply for a membership of the UK-China Business Links (UCBL).
They set out the terms under which you may use the UCBL Site whose
Internet address is www.ukchinabusinesslinks.com.
Smart-Act
Technology (UK) Ltd, hereinafter referred to as SAT, as owners
and operators of the UCBL Site have made every effort to ensure
the accuracy or completeness of the contents of the Site. We disclaim
all warranties, express or implied, as to the accuracy of the
information contained in any of the third party entries on the
site.
In no event shall SAT or the people who established and are maintaining
this UCBL Site be liable for any special, indirect, consequential
or purely economic loss whatsoever regardless of whether such
losses are foreseeable and whether or not caused by the UCBL negligence
arising out of or in connection with the use of the UCBL.
This Site is linked to third party data and third party web sites
outside the UCBL Site. We are not liable for any description in
respect of the contents of such data or Sites. The inclusion of
such linked Sites does not in any way imply our endorsement of
the contents of the Sites, their products, services, or any views
they may express.
The intellectual property rights in all elements of the UCBL
Site, including without limitation the copyright, database rights,
trade marks and patents, know how, confidential information and
collections of personal data are owned or controlled by SAT.
As a UCBL member, you are permitted unlimited access to the information
database provided on the UCBL Site. However, any distribution
of any of the contents of the UCBL site is strictly forbidden.
The member should keep any passwords for the Site secure and
confidential. If it becomes known that any unauthorised party
has access to, or use of, such passwords you must inform the UCBL
immediately. UCBL may require you to change your passwords.
Due to the nature of the Internet, we cannot and do not warrant
or represent that you will have full and error free operation
of and access to the UCBL Site and/or the Services at all times.
All liability of SAT, howsoever arising from any loss whatsoever
arising from your inability to use the UCBL Site or any part of
it is excluded, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
SAT acknowledges its obligations under the Data Protection Act
1998 and shall use its reasonable endeavours to ensure that the
Site and/or any information and/or data it holds are kept secure.
However, due to the nature of the Internet, SAT cannot accept
any liability for those who intentionally attempt to and/or gain
unauthorised access to the Site
You acknowledge and agree that all information you provide may
be transmitted over the Internet, and that transfers of such information
may be made to any country in the world, regardless of the extent
of any data protection laws and regulations in any of those countries.
On seeking membership of UCBL, you will be asked to complete a
registration form. All details that you provide for inclusion
on UCBL Site must be accurate and you must inform SAT immediately
in writing of any changes to those details.
The information gathered from any registration
forms and your use of the Site may be used by SAT for purposes
relating to your use of the Site and for marketing activities.
If you do not wish to receive direct marketing material or information
from the UCBL or from other members of the Site you should notify
SAT by e-mail at info@ukchinabusinesslinks.com
or in writing to the postal address of UCBL.
UCBL membership is made available with a limited charge. Payment
for the charge must be made within 28 days after the submission
of your membership application.
Any notice of withdrawing membership from UCBL shall be given
in writing by sending the same by post, facsimile transmission
or email to SAT.
SAT reserves the right to vary these Terms from time to time.
Such changes shall either be notified to you by e-mail or posted
on the Site home page. Such changes in this manner shall be deemed
to have been accepted by you if you continue to use the Site after
a period of two weeks from the date of transmission of the e-mail
or of the posting on the Site home page, whichever occurs later.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance
with the laws of England and Wales.
