Overview
Nanjing is
one of China's more attractive major cities. As the capital of
Jiangsu province, Nanjing is the political, economic and cultural
centers in the province a city full of antiquity of China. It
is on the southern bank of the Yangtze River, and the junction
close to the Great Canal, which made it a transport hub for centuries.
Historically, there have been ten dynasties that established their
capitals here, so Nanjing hence the fame of "the Capital
of Ten Dynasties". With the great historical background,
Nanjian now is a famous tourism city in China. The ten-li Qinhuai
River, especially the Confucius Temple area, both culture and
trade have been most thriving.
