Overview
With a history
of more than 2000 years, Chengdu is full of cultural and historical
remains. Du Fu Thatched Cottage, where the famous Tang poet-Du
Fu used to live and write poetry, Wuhou Shrine, Tomb of Wang Jian,
and Wangjiang Tower are must-see for tourists.
Being the
capital city of China's most populated province, Sichuan, Chengdu
is an interesting city with interesting people. There are a lots
waiting for you to explore.
To seek to
a quieter place, the Green City Mountain, the Taoist centre, or
the Emei Mountain, are ideal destinations outside the city.
Further away,
800 to 900km west from the city is Jiuzhaigou, a famous 60,000-hectare
primitive forest filled with flowers, lakes, waterfalls, and exotic
animals such as the giant pandas!
